Founder of Bergen County Speech Services, Christine Boodaghian is an ASHA-certified and New Jersey Licensed speech language pathologist with a range of pediatric and adult experience. Christine is PROMPT-trained and has received her Qualification in Orofacial Myology (QOM). Christine currently practices Orofacial Myofuctional Therapy (OMT) with clients who present with feeding and swallowing disorders, tongue thrust, thumb-sucking, speech sound disorders, and Bell’s Palsy. She is experienced in early language development, receptive and expressive language, speech sound disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), cleft palate, and more. With previous experience in public schools across Manhattan and Northern New Jersey, Christine is deeply familiar with language development as it occurs in children from birth through high school. She is passionate about helping families and children develop communication skills that allow them to rise to their greatest potential. Christine uses a child-centered and play-based approach to therapy and understands the importance of entering a child’s world in order to establish trust and increase communicative success. She emphasizes caregiver involvement which aids in the carryover of learned skills to the home environment.

Christine obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from New York University, where she worked in clinical labs testing the effectiveness of various treatments and found her love for speech therapy. She trained with top voice speech language pathologists at Hackensack University Medical Center and became skilled in providing voice therapy for a variety of vocal impairments. Christine understands the importance of having a strong rapport with her clients, and she is sure to make you feel right at home in each therapy session.
